Mounted or not?
All my slides are stored mounted in slide projector trays, ready for viewing. But what difference does this make to the quality of the scans? I decided to perform a quick test to see. The picture I used is shown below, with several sets of zoomed in sections. Although there is a difference, I'm not sure it's worth the effort of rescanning the whole lot out of mounts!
